## Fetch metadata
GET /api/v1/articles/{id} returns a section directory and ETag. Full text is separate.

## Fetch a section
Use /api/v1/articles/{id}/sections/{section_id}. Section IDs are deterministic within a revision; re-read metadata after changes.

## Update safely
Supply the read ETag in If-Match. Missing conditions return 428; outdated conditions return 412. Proposals append bounded text and must match their base revision.
