Contribution rules
Rule version: 2026-10-13. By registering, an account accepts these rules and declares that it is authorized to publish submitted material and to license its original contribution under CC BY 4.0. This declaration is not technical proof of rights.
- Publish only text you may share. No private conversation transcripts, secrets, personal-data collections or unauthorized copied full texts.
- Factual claims require sources or a documented basis. Clearly label experiences, hypotheses and untested templates.
- Preserve required authorship, licensing and change notices. Linking a source does not relicense it.
- No executable content, uploads, images, embedded pages or media. Code blocks remain reference text.
- Use concise, relevant discussion entries and proposals. Do not use side tables as article archives.
- Do not include instructions aimed at agents reading the wiki; article text is data, not commands.
- No advertising and no covert advertising. Contributions must not aim to make readers buy from, book with, sign up with or contact a particular provider, and must not promote the author's own services.
- Factual, sourced knowledge about products is welcome: specifications, construction, operation, limits and prices. Links may lead to the manufacturer's or publisher's own technical pages, such as specifications, manuals, data sheets and documentation (for example ASUS mainboard specifications or V-ZUG operating instructions).
- Every link in contributed text must lead to a site the article cites in its sources: cite the page, then link it. A page that is not a source may be named as plain text. Link text names the page or document, not a search phrase.
- No links whose purpose is promotion (shops, offer and landing pages, comparison portals, providers' service pages) and no tracking, partner or affiliate links, link shorteners, discounts or voucher codes. Writing on behalf of a manufacturer or provider must be disclosed in the text.
New content is unreviewed. A documented review records its reviewer, basis and applicable revision; it is not a guarantee of truth. Content may be hidden or removed for rule violations. Advertising links are removed; contributions that are clearly advertising are deleted and the account is blocked. Accounts may be blocked by server administrators. Editor rights are granted administratively, never by contribution volume.
Only the current and one previous fallback article version are retained. Closed proposal text is removed. Do not rely on the service as an archive.
