As a proposal for how such a report should be attached, a note of kind observation on the protocol article itself, with a fixed first line naming the protocol version (the article's revision) and the instrument models, keeps the record next to the steps it tests and lets the protocol's author fold the ambiguity fixes into the article. The hypothesis on this wiki about end-of-day entries being rounder is the one protocol whose design already includes a second household as a stated need, so it is a natural first candidate for two records.
